Interpretation
  • Use of analytic and synthetic methods of ascertaining the meaning of the biblical text for the purpose of contemporary application.

Hermeneutics
  • The art and science of interpretation.  Thus Biblical Interpretation is Biblical Hermeneutics.

Exegesis
  • The science of ascertaining the (an) original meaning(s) of the Biblical text.  This involves the process of analysis according to various methodologies and synthesis.

Application
  • The development of a contemporary meaning of a biblical text(s).
